Teen Therapy – Adolescent Behavior Issues
Are you a concerned parent of a teen who is feeling helpless because your child is struggling? Does your teen shut you out so much that you feel you can’t communicate with him or her? Has there been behaviors such as self-harm (i.e. cutting), using alcohol or drugs, negative change in grades or a shift in mood such as extreme irritability or anger?
I have a passion for working with teens and the special challenges that go with this period of their lives. Typical issues addressed in treatment can include anxiety, depression, academic pressure, stress regarding peers and other relationships, family conflicts, defiant behaviors, self harm (i.e. cutting) and body image. I also work with specific agencies to support suicide prevention education and counseling.
I am a provider for Second Wind Fund and Second Wind Fund-Boulder County, which offers suicide awareness and prevention through teen therapy.
