Are you feeling restless, nervous, having repetitive thoughts or difficulty concentrating? Maybe you are also having some physical symptoms, like heart palpitations or GI upset? Do you find yourself thinking about what happened in the past or worrying about what may happen in the future, keeping you from being able to just live in the present moment? Sometimes anxiety can also include panic attacks. Your symptoms may have begun in childhood or teen years, though you may not have known what it was. Living with anxiety is exhausting. It can also create a pattern of avoiding things that may trigger the anxiety, which actually causes an increased awareness of the symptoms and keeps you from living your life.
There are many effective forms of anxiety treatment
In my practice, I focus on symptom relief through stress management, coping skills and relaxation exercises to help increase tools for your mental health toolbox. Anxiety treatment modalities I incorporate include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and mindfulness based techniques.
